Weapons are mostly used by men, therefore they have a phallic symbolism, they suggest masculine power but they can also be used by a woman, but she would have had to adopt masculine characteristics. When a woman outsmarts a man the villain will castrate him.

Doors & Windows.
Windows could represent/symbolise the isolation from the outside world. They could also symbolise the fear of being part of the outside world. Whereas doors could be a symbol of opportunity. both doors and windows could be symbols of entrapment or freedom. but they still both hold mystery.

These are meant to represent childhood and innocence as they are the toys of children but some often have un-human life qualities such as big non-blinking eyes, fake/forced smiles and oversized heads. e.g Chucky the Doll, Annabelle, Jigssaw.

Masks
masks are often use by men to hide their identity as the antagonists. they are used to disguise evil in mankind and the only part of the mask thats meant to move is the eye, which generally created more fear for the audience.

Mirrors
They can represent many different things such as multiple feelings or multiple personalities of that certain character. Broken glass in a character symbolises shattered lives or personalities. They can also symbolise vanity and sexual themes
